Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using Interlüde at getinterlude.app or via the Interlüde mobile application, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These terms form a legally binding End-User Licence Agreement (EULA) between you and INTERLUDE TRAVELS. If you do not agree, do not use Interlüde. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
2. Who we are
Interlüde is operated by INTERLUDE TRAVELS (BC Sole Proprietorship #727835233BC0001), Langford, British Columbia, Canada. We connect travelers during airport layovers.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Interlüde. We use biometric ID verification to confirm age. Accounts that fail age verification or that are determined to belong to minors are deleted immediately.
4. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users
Interlüde has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You agree not to post, send, transmit, share, or otherwise make available any content that is unlawful, harassing, threatening, abusive, hateful, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, pornographic, violent, or otherwise objectionable. You agree not to harass, bully, stalk, intimidate, impersonate, or harm any other user. Interlüde reserves the right, but is under no obligation, to remove any content and to suspend or permanently terminate the account of any user found to violate this policy, without notice and without refund. Reports of objectionable content or abusive users are reviewed within 24 hours.
5. Reporting and enforcement
Every user profile and every chat in Interlüde provides a Block and Report mechanism. Users can flag any user, message, or content as objectionable. Reports are logged to our moderation queue and acted upon within 24 hours. Blocked users are immediately and automatically hidden from your Browse, Chats, and Groups. Users who receive multiple substantiated reports are automatically muted, suspended, or permanently removed from the platform. Interlüde also applies automated filtering to chat messages to prevent profane, abusive, or hateful content from being sent.
6. Acceptable use
In addition to Section 4, you agree not to use Interlüde for any unlawful purpose, post false or misleading information, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account or system, scrape or harvest data, collect personal information about other users without consent, or interfere with how the platform operates in any way.
7. User content
You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant Interlüde a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute it solely for the purpose of operating and improving the platform. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate third-party rights and complies with these terms, including Section 4.
8. Matching and connections
Interlüde facilitates connections between travellers but is not responsible for user conduct outside the platform. Always exercise personal judgement and take appropriate safety precautions when meeting strangers in person.
9. Visa and travel information
Visa and travel information provided in Interlüde is AI-generated guidance only. Always verify requirements with the official embassy, consulate, or government source before travelling.
10. Events and third-party services
Interlüde integrates with Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, AviationStack, OpenWeather, Google Maps, and Sherpa to display events, flight, weather, traffic, and visa information. We are not responsible for third-party events, services, or content. Transactions with third parties are solely between you and that party.
11. Premium subscription
Premium subscription is offered at $9.99 CAD per month. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time through your account settings. No refunds for partial billing months.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Interlüde shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.
13. Intellectual property
All content, designs, and trademarks on Interlüde are owned by INTERLUDE TRAVELS. The INTERLÜDE trademark is subject to CIPO Application #2463206. The Interlüde codebase and creative content are protected under CIPO Copyright Registration #1244585.
14. Termination
We may suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these terms, including but not limited to violations of Section 4, without notice and without refund. You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Edit → Delete Account, or by emailing evidence@getinterlude.app.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
